Below is a photo from Cooper’s Lookout overlooking four lakes - a most spectacular sight - which is located just across the road from the cottage.

Beech Lake and surrounding lakes offer excellent muskie and bass fishing. With a dozen lakes within 15 minutes of the cottage, one has days of fishing in some of the best fishing lakes in the Haliburton Highlands.
For those rainy nights, or for a change of pace, the towns of Carnarvon, Minden and Haliburton are all within 20 minutes and offer good quality restaurants, bistros, delis, pubs and live theatre at the Northern Lights Pavilion.
...and remember Algonquin Park is only 1/2 hour north on Hwy 35.
